From a young age, I have always been fascinated with numbers and mathematics in general. I participated in the UKMT Maths Challenges from Year 7 to Year 13, where I was awarded with a Bronze, Silver or Gold certificate. I was also ranked as the ‘Best In the Year’ for two consecutive years, and ‘Best In the School’ in Year 10. I was awarded a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics. In Year 11, I was also awarded a certificate in a Level 3 Algebra with 91%. At the end of Year 13, I achieved A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Computer Science and an A in Physics. I was awarded my school’s ‘Governors Leaving Award/A P Lawrence Memorial Prize for Mathematics’ and the ‘Prize for Computing Studies’. I have taught students at 11+ level and GCSE Level and I’ve also helped students who were struggling with different aspects of Mathematics.

Hi! My name is Ihab and I am a LSE student studying History and Politics and currently averaging a high 2.1. I have studied a range of History topics from the Ottoman Empire, the Tudors and the Qing Empire which I enjoy. My approach to tutoring is like a conversation in which I prefer to question and prompt my student so they can grow their knowledge within my lessons. This would be through teaching them concepts and information then applying them to past paper questions, as well as my own that I have created. I can adjust the style of my lessons to my students preference in which I aim to find gaps in knowledge and then underlying issues that prevent them from fulfilling their full potential. I am an experienced tutor, as I have been tutoring for nearly 3 years with 2 of them face to face lessons in students houses in which I taught kids from KS1-KS4. Hi! My name is Muneeb. My approach to teaching is centred around you, every student is different and as a result has different needs and teaching styles that they respond to. I aim to work with students to understand how best to achieve success. My maths and physics background gives me a logical mindset with which I approach teaching, I can systematically work through the gaps in a student’s knowledge and identify the underlying issue hindering them from achieving their full potential and then provide the necessary support to help them thrive. I’m a Masters student at the University of Sussex where I am studying Quantum Technology & management and currently averaging at a high 1st. This follows my undergraduate in physics from University College London (UCL) and my A levels in Maths, Chemistry & Physics in which I achieved A grades. I have informal experience working with children with autism, so I understand the extra level of care that’s required to engage neurodiverse children, particularly with regards to understanding the child’s needs as well as their comfort levels and routines. Hi! My name is Rosie, and I am a 3rd year undergraduate student studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bristol, currently achieving a 1st class grade. This year I was also a finalist in the Undergraduate of the Year Awards! At the age of 14 I set up my own tutoring business, which has been running successfully for 5 years, and during this time I have provided a wide variety of online and in-person tutoring sessions, each one tailored to the individual needs of the student. I have experience working with pupils with a range of SEND needs, especially ADHD. In school, I achieved 10 grade 9 results at GCSE, and A*, A*, A*, A* at A-Level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I was also awarded the Physics attainment award for achieving the top grade in my sixth form, as well as a Bucks Young Scientist of the Year Award in Physics, in 2022. I have competed in multiple maths, chemistry and physics Olympiads throughout my school experience, often achieving gold awards in these events. I believe that these results show my skill and dedication to these subjects, as well as my ability to perform well in exams. A large part of my tutoring sessions focus on exam technique, so that students can access their full potential under the pressure of an exam situation. In 2023 I deferred my place at university to gain some more experience before entering undergraduate study, and for 3 months I worked full time in a secondary school as a teacher assistant. This has provided me with lots of classroom experience, helping students in their studies and organisational skills from Year 7 all the way up to Year 13. During this time I built up confidence and ability in teaching, with a keen focus on aiding SEND pupils.
