Hi! My name is Abidah. I am currently a first year Computer Science student in University. I have achieved A*A*A* in A Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology and grade 9s in the above subjects for GCSEs. As a tutor with over 3 years of tutoring experience, I have learnt strategies to support students according to their needs. This includes using a range of resources to help the student. As I have recently completed my A Levels, I am in a position in which I can understand students and advise them on how to maximise their efficiency in studying as I was recently in their positions. Along with this I am very familiar with the Edexcel exam board for GCSE and A Levels Maths as well as AQA for Biology and Chemistry. Hence, I have all the knowledge there is to know for the curriculum. My lessons will focus on the weakness of the student and will be tailored to the students need. Not only will I go through the content, but I will also ensure to do practise questions along with the student explaining every step and then allowing them to complete a few questions alone to ensure they have fully understood the topic. I’m Luke, I am a Natural sciences student at Cambridge. Studied Maths Chemistry Biology and geography at A level. This summer I am a Teaching intern at SMC/vantage. I have taught whole lessons in the sciences and geography from ks3 to a level. A massive fan of conservation and nature, formula one and football. Sadly I am a spurs fan so the less said about football the better. I’m a member of the rspb so I do enjoy bird watching and every summer for the past 2 years I’ve volunteered to teach ecology and data analysis to year 12 students in Morecambe‘s salt marshes over a whole week. The best bit about teaching for me is the moment it clicks, specifically when a student doesn't understand a concept, reframing my approach and it eventually working is as good as it gets.
