I'm Kwesi, a University of Warwick graduate with a year of experience in tutoring Maths. During that time, I had to adapt my teaching style to children of all abilities, and this taught me how to cultivate a genuine interest in the subject when it initially feels daunting. What can look foreign at first is definitely understandable with a nudge in the right direction, and I know I can help your child grasp the different concepts in Maths.

As a social sciences student at Durham University, I am uniquely equipped to combine a holistic approach and a more in-depth approach to my tutoring, depending on the individual learning style of each student. I can tutor students of a wide range of abilities, from beginner to advanced, in French and English Literature, having achieved A*s and 9’s in both subjects at A-Level and GCSE, respectively. I can also tutor English Language up to GCSE standard, having achieved grade 9 when I sat the exam. I graduated from Wycombe Abbey School in 2023, where I obtained twelve 9’s and an 8 in my GCSEs, and four A*s at A-Level. I have done a range of informal tutoring for GCSE and Common Entrance, and have also volunteered as an English Teaching Assistant in a local primary school. From my personal experience of being slightly less confident in certain subjects and from tutoring others, I found I really enjoy helping students achieve their full potential and boosting their confidence, especially in subjects that may not come naturally to them. I am conscious that everyone has their own unique learning style, so I will tailor my lesson plan to each student’s personal aims in order to make sessions engaging and interactive. I have full working proficiency in French, and can provide assistance with all aspects of the exam, including listening, reading, writing and grammar. Having completed several intensive language courses in France, one of my strengths as a French tutor lies in conversation practice - I can therefore also help with the oral exam, including the Independent Research Project, implementing complex sentence structures, presentation technique and using sophisticated vocabulary. While I can tutor for all exam specifications, I will be of particular use in AQA A-Level and AQA GCSE, as these are the exam boards I sat at school. For English Literature, I can cover a wide range of skills such as essay technique, text analysis (play, book, or poem), grammar and language. While I can tutor a wide variety of texts depending on the exam board, I can provide specialised knowledge in the following texts: Hamlet, The Great Gatsby, The Grapes of Wrath, The Duchess of Malfi, Paradise Lost, A Streetcar Named Desire, Purple Hibiscus, The Crucible, Jane Eyre, and Romeo and Juliet. I can provide support with a broad range of resources and key skills, especially with the CIE GCSE and the OCR A-Level specifications. For English Language, I can also provide useful resources and support with all aspects of the exam paper, including comprehension, grammar and the extended writing section. As I sat the CIE GCSE exam, I can provide specialised knowledge of this specification.

Hi, I’m Alfie — a recent Classics graduate from the University of Manchester with a deep love of language, literature, and big ideas. I tutor in Latin, Ancient Greek, English, and Religious Studies. I studied Latin at both GCSE and A-Level (achieving an A in each), before reading Classics at the University of Manchester, where I graduated with a 2:1. At university, I focused heavily on mastering Classical Languages — Latin and Ancient Greek — and even studied at the Novum Vivarium in Rome, a renowned school where all instruction is delivered entirely in spoken Latin. Alongside my language studies, I developed a strong interest in the cultural, literary, and philosophical dimensions of the ancient world — interests which naturally extend into English and Religious Studies. I’ve hosted a podcast with Luke Ranieri, one of the world’s foremost scholars in modern spoken Latin, where we explored topics ranging from grammar to deeper questions about meaning and tradition. My teaching style is grounded in curiosity and collaboration: I like to ask open-ended questions and guide students toward figuring things out for themselves. This is especially effective in subjects that require interpretation and reflection, like English and Religious Studies. One thing I often help students with is building confidence. I'm a BSc Mathematics and Statistical Science student at UCL, with A*s in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at A-level. Before that, I spent four years as a Data Analyst at NatWest Group. As part of my role, I ran regular training sessions for colleagues and interns, many of whom told me up front that they weren't "numbers people." This experience shaped how I teach. When a student struggles with maths, there's usually one specific thing from earlier in the syllabus that they missed, and everything built on top of it has felt incomprehensible ever since. So my first job with a new student is to find that gap. Once it's closed, the difficulty usually turns out to have been far narrower than it felt.

Hi! I'm Tom and I am a First-Class Classics graduate from the University of Oxford. I have two years of tutoring experience and I look to engage students with a pragmatic approach to their course, so that they feel confident as they revise and find the checkpoints of revision rewarding.
