Hello! My name is Joe and I'm a second-year student studying Medicine at the University of Manchester. I have been privately tutoring for a few years to a variety of levels and have found it very rewarding. I am very flexible in my lesson plans and I'm happy to base my lessons on what is being taught in school, focus on revising past content or improving exam technique. I am also open to sessions focusing on university application, particularly for Medicine. My lessons have a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I'm a BSc Mathematics and Statistical Science student at UCL, with A*s in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at A-level. Before that, I spent four years as a Data Analyst at NatWest Group. As part of my role, I ran regular training sessions for colleagues and interns, many of whom told me up front that they weren't "numbers people." This experience shaped how I teach. When a student struggles with maths, there's usually one specific thing from earlier in the syllabus that they missed, and everything built on top of it has felt incomprehensible ever since.
