Hi! I’m Milena, a friendly English and Religious Studies tutor offering personalised, exam-focused sessions for students aiming to improve their grades and build confidence. I am in my second year studying Law at UCL. I achieved 9 Grade 9s at GCSE, including Grade 9s in both English Literature and English Language, and achieved 3 A grades at A Level. I also achieved full marks in my A Level English Literature coursework. I now study Law at University College London (4% acceptance rate). I know first-hand how important it is to know what examiners are actually rewarding so I focus on helping students turn their knowledge into marks. At the same time, I believe tutoring should be personalised. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations, questions and activities to their individual level, strengths and areas for improvement. Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, lacking confidence or aiming to move from a 7 to an 8/9, I will tailor sessions around you. Alongside this, I provide tailored homework after sessions as well as same-day support for homework queries via the Edumentors chat. I offer tutoring in: * GCSE English Literature * GCSE English Language * A Level English Literature * GCSE Religious Studies * Personal statement and university application mentoring Having received 5/5 university offers, including offers from UCL, LSE, King’s College London and Queen Mary University of London, I also offer university application mentoring. I can help with choosing universities, developing a strong application, personal statement strategy and presenting your experiences effectively.

Hi! My name is Victoria and I was a student at St Dominic's Sixth Form College. In my A-Levels, I achieved an A* in English Literature, A in Law and A in Mathematics. I was also awarded a perfect score in my EPQ which was based on American politics (particularly, the factors influencing presidential success). I have always been a keen and enthusiastic learner, and I find great joy in being able to assist others in finding that same passion and enthusiasm for studies. I am punctual, reliable, and capable of adapting my style of teaching to best accommodate to students' individual needs - I know that everyone is capable of achieving the grades they dream of and I'm confident in my ability to help them get there :) For a bit of background, during my time at sixth form and since, I was a finalist in the Northeastern University London Essay Competition regarding copyright infringement claims; I participated in a mooting competition which examined the interpretation of reliance under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, in which my team was one of few to qualify for the advocacy stage; I completed Slaughter & May's commercial work experience programme which involved a detailed analysis of the Bribery Act 2010, etc. These experiences helped me to develop the skills I need to be a fantastic tutor: speaking in a confident and articulate manner, composing compelling arguments and preparing focused resources. I'd really love to help you see your child succeed, and given the opportunity to do so I will ensure they achieve their desired grades. Thank you for considering me! :)

I have been able to achieve an A* in English Literature and 9 in GCSE English-Literature after struggling to get passed D/C's initially at the start of those educational milestones. I have mulitple years of tutoring experience, both within a tutoring centre and independently. While working at TOP LEARNING (Sept 2022 – March 2023), I supported students from Year 1 to Year 11 through a mix of group and one-to-one sessions, tailoring my approach to different learning styles and confidence levels. I particularly enjoyed helping students build self-belief alongside academic skills, especially in GCSE English, as well as Maths and English at primary level. I have tutored independently on an ad hoc basis, including voluntary A-Level English Literature support. Most recently, I worked closely with a student through the final stages of her A-Levels and saw her progress from a predicted D to a just 1 mark off a B in English Literature, which reinforced for me how personalised teaching and encouragement can make a real difference. I would also love to tutor LNAT lessons. I have had 2 years of mentoring students, supporting with applications and answering questions as a Sutton Trust Pathways to Law Mentor during my where I won an Outstanding Contribution Award (2026). The students were supported from year 12 to year 13 where they ended the tenure listening to a speech I was invited to give that enabled the students to gracefully close that chapter of their lives. Pouring into those younger than me has always been a passion of mine that I have invested in and learned to grow in this area.

Hi! I am a Masters graduate with a Distinction in Creative Writing, along with a First Class Honours degree in English Literature from Durham University. I also achieved A* in English Literature at A Level and A* in English Literature and English Language at GCSE. My lessons are generally structured around past questions from the relevant exam board. I will usually give students 5-10 minutes to read the extract and make initial notes relating to the question, before going through my own notes and how I would approach the question. This includes close analysis of key themes, literary devices and the writer's intentions, alongside a suggested essay structure which takes students through what to include paragraph by paragraph. I then give students the opportunity to begin writing a response to the question and am available to offer assistance as required. Students can then finish the question as homework and I will provide feedback in our next session - if requested, I can also provide live feedback paragraph by paragraph while you are writing. I'm currently working on the novel I wrote for my Master's degree and gathering research for my PhD next year. I'm extremely passionate about tutoring - my ambition is to become a university lecturer and published novelist. I only offer tutoring in English related topics as this is my specific area of expertise, and I want to ensure I can provide great quality, well-informed sessions. Contact me for personalised lesson plans and friendly, patient tutoring!

Need an English Literature Tutor to Help Your Child Succeed?

A-Level English Literature can feel demanding when students move from understanding texts to analysing them in depth. Essays require clear arguments, strong structure and the ability to compare ideas under time pressure, which is where many students begin to struggle.

At this point, parents often start looking for more focused support. Some choose an English Literature tutor for subject-specific help, while others explore A-Level tutors online or an A-Level English tutor to improve writing skills more broadly.

With different approaches available, it helps to understand what kind of support will make the biggest difference.
