Hi, my name is Sibel Khawaja. I’ve previously tutored children in school across all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and really enjoy helping students build confidence in their learning. Over the last year of teaching, three of my students achieved the highest grades available in their subjects, which I’m incredibly proud of (in the subjects chemistry, combined science and maths)I’m currently studying Neuroscience at Queen Mary University of London, and I’m passionate about making science engaging and accessible.

Hi, I'm Sumaiya and I'm studying Biomedical sciences at Queen Mary university of London.I I received Grades 9-8 during my GCSEs. I'm passionate about learning, leading, and supporting others in their growth. I have tutored English, literature to GCSE students and I’ve also helped my siblings with math and other subjects. I’ve extended this passion through volunteering at a primary school, where I supported children in developing their English and math skills. These experiences strengthened my communication skills, patience and ability to explain ideas clearly—qualities I bring to every tutoring session. Beyond tutoring, I’ve taken on leadership roles as a House Captain and Prefect, where I guided and motivated my peers. I’m also proud of my achievements outside the classroom. Winning a trophy in an Islamic competition showed me the rewards of dedication, discipline and continuous learning. Along the way, I’ve balanced academics, extracurricular activities community involvement and my faith,building strong time management and adaptability skills. When I’m not studying or leading, I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my family through watching movies and TV shows—they’re my favourite way to relax, discover new perspectives and spark creativity. At the heart of everything I do—whether it’s tutoring, volunteering, or leading—I aim to make a positive impact on others, while growing into a more skilled, empathetic, and confident individual.

My lessons are aimed to be tailored to each individual student! I like to ask the students if there are any specific areas to focus on, whilst covering the whole syllabus. I often start with a fun starter to recap last lesson, moving onto the lesson where I share my screen to show my working, so that students understand my approach clearly. I will do my own question and work through questions I give students aswell as past papers to really consolidate knowledge. I like to set regular homework, believing practise is the best way to learn. I have experience in tutoring lots of secondary school students. I aim to build a relationship with the children I tutor, believing the best way to achieve success and reach full potential is working together. Fun fact about me! I have 3 Maths GCSEs, achieving a 5 in Foundation Maths when I was only 11, achieving and 8s in both Higher and Further Maths when I was 16. I then went onto achieve a grade A in Maths at A level, along with an A and B in Biology and Chemistry respectively. I study Natural Sciences at University of Exeter, which consists of Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science. I balance my commitment to my studies with my love for sport. I play rugby and referee children’s football matches, aswell as teaching swimming. I love working with children and watching them grow in confidence; it is so rewarding to be a part of that.

Hi! I'm Methmi, a 2nd year Biochemistry student at the University of Manchester.
