My name is Tyra Branch, and I am a third year medical student at the university of Cambridge. As a tutor, I strive for my student to achieve their greatest potential in academic performance and instill them with the essential time management and revision strategies to help them excel. My Educational Background: In my A-Level exams, I have achieved 3 A*s in A-Level maths, chemistry and biology, as well as achieving an A* in my extended project qualification. As a medical student, I apply a range of A-level knowledge to my studies, and the foundations of knowledge these A-Levels have provided have helped me to build up my understanding of complex medical knowledge. The specific exam boards I completed exams for were OCR A for biology, AQA for chemistry and Edexcel for maths. However, I am able to research and accommodate to all exam boards. My style of teaching: As a tutor , I am aware that each student learns differently and may be a visual learner, a learner who values verbal explanations or a learner who values high yield notes. As a result, I can accommodate my teaching style to match the learning style of my student. However, my basic teaching style includes providing a PowerPoint presentation with high yield notes and knowledge for each topic covered on the exam specification (specifications are a list of topics to be covered, and high yield knowledge is knowledge that is often and frequently examined within exam papers). I will also include diagrams to help visualise the complex concepts. Following this we will apply knowledge to practice questions to help to understand the information required in each exam answer and practice the integration of our knowledge into different concepts. I hope that you consider choosing me to be your tutor, and I can run through any extra information and questions in our 15-minute free trial session, thank you for considering me, Tyra.

Hi, I’m Sarannia! I’m a 4th year medical student at the University of Cambridge, and I’ve been teaching and mentoring for several years — from school settings and private tuition to national programmes. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, enjoy learning, and reach their academic goals. 🌟 I specialise in: - Maths & Further Maths tutoring for 11+, KS2, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE - Medical school application support — UCAT, personal statements, and interviews I also have experience teaching pre-clinical medicine and biology to university students, as well as 11+ maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. 🎓 My academic background: - 4 A*s at A-Level (Biology, Chemistry- 88%, Maths- 92%, Further Maths- 96%) - Multiple maths challenge and Olympiad awards (Olympiad Distinction, Best in School x2, 7/8 Golds, Invitation to UKMT National Mathematics Summer School) - 4/4 medical school offers (Cambridge, UCL, Sheffield, Leicester) - BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences (Genetics) from Cambridge – 2.i Subject Tutoring: I tailor every session to each student’s learning style, ensuring they thrive in an environment that suits them best. I believe in building strong conceptual foundations, encouraging curiosity beyond the syllabus, and finding the right balance between exam practice and analytical review of mistakes. Medical School Application Mentoring: I have also been very involved in outreach programmes and mentoring students at all different stages of their medical school applications. My goal is to help every student reach their full potential — and enjoy the journey along the way.

I am charismatic and enthusiastic Barts and the London School of Medicine student, with a willingness to learn and grow in any field despite the challenges that may be presented. I consider myself well-rounded, excelling in both academics as well as sport e.g., Football (My favourite!) and have passion for social interaction. Through exposure to tough situations as well as reading books on the topics I have honed my emotional intelligence and communication skills which I have since applied to provide help in various avenues such as education. I've had leadership roles such as Headboy of the school and thus have developed strong rapports with students who look at me as a role-model as well as their parents, especially during information evenings where I had conversations on how "parents could best support their children". As a fluent English and Italian speaker, I've acted as a bridge and advocate for foreign students to make them feel integrated in the community. This has also proved useful when teaching students who's first language isn't English as my fluency in another language allowed me to better understand the students I've worked with. I am a published author who is passionate about writing short stories as means of expressing issues that many children are faced with. One such issue is bullying and I have published a book titled Scars the Bullies and The Bullied which aims to inspire readers to take action against bullying. I will work alongside my students, supporting them along each step of the way so that in the end, they can excel; not solely academically but also in life.

Hi, my name is Josh and I am a fully qualified NHS doctor who graduated from Imperial College London. I was awarded the President's Scholarship by Imperial in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and achieved Distinctions in Medical Science and Clinical Practice. I also hold a First Class intercalated degree in Endocrinology and a Level 2 Personal Trainer Qualification which has also deepened my understanding of how the body and mind perform under pressure which is relevant to helping students prepare for high stakes exams. I have over 1,500 hours of teaching experience across in-person and online settings, working with students on GCSE and A-level Biology and Chemistry as well as medical school applications. On the medical school side, I have been involved at every stage of the process from reviewing personal statements, coaching students through MMI and panel interviews, and developing a clear understanding of what admissions teams are genuinely looking for beyond the surface level. Several students I have worked with have gone on to secure offers at top medical schools. Beyond one-to-one tutoring, I have been involved in medical education at a wider scale. I was one of the founding Quizlet medical advisors at Imperial, creating flashcard resources that remain widely used by students today. I led the third-year lecture series for the MedEd Society at Imperial and co-authored part of the Pathology Guide, a textbook resource for fifth-year students, giving me experience of designing and delivering educational content at an institutional level.
