Hello, I'm Isla! I recently graduated from Durham University with a first-class degree in Biological Sciences. During my second and third years at university, I formally tutored students at various levels up to A-Levels. I greatly enjoy teaching and have been doing informal tutoring throughout my educational journey from GCSEs. I am keen to help students understand, engage with, and enjoy the content they are learning! I tutored Biology A-Level during my university years. My teaching style focuses on question-and-answer methods, with exam and study questions helping further enhance the student's knowledge of the subject, which helped me achieve 8/9s in GSCE science subjects and an A* in A-Level Biology. However, I will alter lessons to complement the student's needs. I explore anything the students don't understand until they feel confident about the material, using visual aids to reinforce any particular areas of difficulty. I also like to bring in extra material related to the everyday world they see and the information they are learning about. I will always work to improve their confidence in themselves and their skills. Furthermore, I have developed acute skills in writing scientific essays, literature reviews, and designing an ecology project. Therefore, I can provide feedback and offer any aid to those who want to improve in any of these areas. During my work experience and while volunteering for a SHINE project, I worked with younger kids (KS2) to provide English lessons. I immensely enjoyed teaching this subject and am enthusiastic about English. I obtained an English Literature scholarship for my A-level education, achieved an A* for English Literature A-level, and am spending my current year after my university degree working on a novel. I would love to help any student find a passion for creative writing or analysis of literature, which allows them to prepare before they go into KS3 or GCSEs. In my free time, I work on a fiction novel, sew, or hike in the wilderness. I am interested in mycology, spending lots of time looking for and identifying various fruiting fungi, and zoology, enjoying any time spent with animals! Hi, I’m Onyiu, a passionate tutor with 1 year of tutoring experience, dedicated to helping students build confidence in A-Level Psychology, IGCSE First Language English, and IGCSE Global Perspectives. As a second-year psychology student at the University of Bath, I am able to constantly build onto my own learning and understanding of the field whilst simultaneously imparting this onto my students. For sixth form, I studied at Cheltenham Ladies College and achieved A*AAA in EPQ, A-Level Psychology, English Literature, and Mathematics (3 marks away from A*). Having written an EPQ has also equipped me with highly effective time management skills. I believe this will significantly contribute to my effectiveness as a tutor, alongside the empathy I have cultivated having experienced the countless trials and tribulations of my own academic career.

I am currently studying In my final year of University studying Law with a year abroad. I have tutored for both English Language and English Literature both online and in person for over 3 years. I am in my second year studying Maths and Philohophy at the University of Warwick.
